Vehicles Adapted for DIF Coahuila

Accessible transportation is an essential part of the services provided by DIF systems to people with disabilities and their families. Having adapted vehicles makes it easier to transport people to rehabilitation centers, medical appointments, therapy sessions, and social care activities, especially when the person uses a wheelchair.

At TSN, we developed a fleet of 45 Toyota Avanza vehicles for transporting people with reduced mobility (TPMR) for DIF Coahuila and its UNEDIF program (Specialized Transportation Units for People with Disabilities), which provides specialized, comfortable, and safe transportation services to people with neuromotor disabilities.

Each vehicle was configured to transport one person in a wheelchair and up to two companions plus the driver, utilizing a compact platform suitable for urban routes and institutional care activities.

To develop this solution, it was necessary to integrate various systems into each unit, including accessibility features, safety systems, interior modifications, and institutional branding.
