FGR deploys 26 TRACE ballistic chambers across Mexico

The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) has deployed 26 TRACE ballistic cameras across Mexico to strengthen the investigation of firearm-related crimes. This implementation is designed to accelerate the recovery, preservation, and analysis of ballistic evidence, providing law enforcement institutions with faster, safer, and more accurate forensic tools.

Ballistic technology to strengthen investigations

Provided by TSN, TRACE is a specialized solution for recovering bullets and shell casings, designed for both forensic laboratories and police departments. The system helps preserve evidence without contamination and supports integration into ballistic databases such as NIBIN, improving traceability and forensic analysis.

Faster processing and field-ready deployment

Among its key advantages are fast evidence processing, a mobile and versatile format for operational deployment, and a more efficient footprint and cost structure compared with traditional setups. This allows forensic teams to reduce response times and expand their analysis capabilities across different operating environments.

Nationwide deployment across all 32 states

According to the reported rollout, the 26 TRACE ballistic cameras are already operating in all 32 Mexican states, from border regions to rural areas. This nationwide deployment strengthens access to consistent ballistic capabilities to support firearm-related investigations across the country.

TSN advances solutions for forensic and public security operations

With this project, TSN reinforces its role in the development of technology solutions for forensic operations, public security, and critical response, integrating specialized tools for ballistic recovery, evidence preservation, and support for high-impact investigations.
